Locomotive Training

Transafe Training Ltd provide training and assessment for initial qualification, additional development or to simply update and maintain the competence and skills of personnel involved at rail terminals or where there duties require them to work in or access sidings whilst locomotive / train movements are being made.

Transafe training Ltd have developed safety-training courses for a wide range of companies who's concerns involve railway operations or have rail facilities at there site.

We can design and produce a rail operations manual to cover all the risks, characteristics and safety aspects associated to your individual site

The course content and duration is taylored to meet the specific needs and requirements of your site and operation, including:                                           

• Personal track safety 
• Preparing for work
• Track and signals
• Communication and hand signals 
• Locomotive familiarisation
• Controlling rail movement
• Coupling and uncoupling

The training utilises a combination of classroom presentations  and practical sessions on site to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence of the candidates. Written and practical assessments are carried out in accordance with your competence management requirements. upon successful completion of the course you will be issued with a certificate of basic training. (personal ID cards are optional)
